‘A Bit Let Down’Sunday, June 12, 2011 Dear editor, I read your newspaper almost every day of the week. I found the paper credible and balance in news reporting. However, I was a bit let down with the quality of writing in the story of Dr Janneh’s arrest. There were few errors that I found and thought that the paper should note for quality assurance. You may read this statement 1. “Born in Gunjur, Janneh started journalism as a teenager at Radio Gambia, before leaving for U.S. where the attained bachelor’s degree in journalism”. 2. “Though, he earned a U.S citizenship, professor Jammeh remains in the country after he was fired”. I think the editor should have picked these two errors before authorising public consumption. Again, this is my personal view and I have high regard for this paper’s editorial. Many people are following your news items with keen interests, so, quality is what would earn you respect and credibility. Thank you once again for your service to online community.
