BAC Rehabilitates Roads in Kombo North

Speaking during a conducted tour of the ongoing works, Mr. Bolong L.K. Jatta, Councilor of the above communities, described work on the roads as timely as the rainy season approaches.
Ward Councilor Jatta commended the management and the Planning & Development Unit of the Council for their initiative to rehabilitate the said roads ahead of the rainy season.
Mr. Paul Alex Mendy, Acting Development Officer of the Council, who is also overseeing the roads rehabilitation exercise, said Torodo Builders Company was contracted to provide a total of 84 trips mixture of gravels and hard core. Mr Mendy said the works on the roads was satisfactory and up to standard.
Mr. Modou Jonga, Public Relations Officer of BAC, said an amount of D393, 000 has been spent by the council to rehabilitate the above mentioned roads in Kombo North District.
Mr. Jonga reiterated that his council in another development spent an amount of D396, 400 to rehabilitate four feeder roads in Brikama last week.
He used the opportunity to call on the public to pay their rates, taxes and other dues to the council to undertake development projects in the region.
The beneficiary communities are Busumbala, Old Yundum (car park access road), SanchabaSulay Jobe and Brufut Upper Basic School access road.
