In a bid to uplift the standard of the Brikama Health Centre in West Coast Region, Badinyaa One Family Promotions, a Scottish-Gambian registered company in collaboration with  Unity Records are set for a mega fund raising.
In an interview with The Daily News, Sulayman M. Sanyang Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Badinyaa said the rationale behind the event is to provide necessary materials for the health centre as one of the major health facilities in the region, where people seek medical care.
“The event which is fondly called Bricks-Tone-Fiesta will be observed on the 17 February 2011 at the Canaan Multipurpose Centre in Brikama,” he stated.
Sanyang further disclosed that the event will be a whole day and night music and cultural festival and will witness the performances of both local and international artists, namely; Jaliba Kuyateh and the Kumareh band, Pa Bobo and Touba Kaira band, Young Jaliba, Rebellion D Recaller, Singhateh, Rootz Raddee, Mo Hawk, Bala Ranks, Silver Youth, Dr Olugander, Benjamin, Mighty Joe and many others.
“Bricks-Tone Fiesta is a ticketed event organized by volunteers as all the proceeds will be going directly to Brikama health centre. With these in mind we are asking all participating artists to donate their talents to Bricks-Tone-Fiesta at a reasonable price,” he added.
He said they intend to be observing the event annually in order to sensitise the community of Brikama and satellite villages on the importance of the day as well as to raise fund.
“We would also like to raise the awareness of the existence of different cultures and traditions, promote multiculturalism by bringing people together, exposed Brikama to investors and promote local business, expose the talents of our youths so as to create mutual understanding and a better  platform for local and international artists on one stage. We have a dedicated local and international marketing team working exclusively together for a wide range of media coverage and online marketing for advertisement,” said CEO Sanyang.
He stated that Badinyaa headquarters is on national and international campaign for these events, and is online (www.badin-yaa.com), adding that there will be a media launch at Brikama Community Radio Station (FMB) with our major artists supporters.
Sanyang said the exposure will popularise their event for them to embark on massive awareness raising activities on the importance of health and the peaceful co-existence of different ethnics and cultures.
