Ousman Jange on Wednesday resigned as head coach of Africell due to what he referred to as poor management.
Africell played only two games in the second round of the Gambia’s first division league at the time he quit.
Speaking to reporters on Friday at the Independent stadium after Africell’s 4-1 defeat Bakau United under the leadership of his assistant, Ebrima Jallow, Jange said the team is suffering from poor management, which to him is not helping at all.
‘’How can a team be managed by one individual,” he said. “The club president is taking care of everything concerning the team, there is nothing like team work in the Africel camp.’’
He went on to say that if they don’t change the way they are managing the team it will be very difficult for any manager to run the team.
‘’I really love the team and I have a good relationship with the players, but it is very hard to cope with the situation as at now,” he added.
“I’ll however love to manage the team again if the situation changes.”
He said, ‘’I am the one who help them to be promoted to the first division with a record 30points which is no doubt a good record.’’
According to him, he will relax for the time being and listen. He called on Africell to investigate the team’s management.
