Despite losing 1-0 to Gamtel on Sunday at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary qualifiers, Casa Sports’ head Coach Demba Aramata N`daye is optimistic that his team can still book a place to the next round of the competition come the return leg in Dakar.
Coach N,daye made these remarks on Sunday in an exclusive interview with journalists after the game.
He said his team will prepare very well before the return leg and work on their mistake, saying Gamtel are not a thread to his side, “we lost the ball in their court and they built up a counter attack in their first chance of the game and they punished us when our defender failed to clear the ball,” said N, daye.
“With the way Gamtel have played, they are not a threat to my team come the return leg in Senegal because they are not building up from defense they only depend on counter attacks which is very easy to deal with,” He said.
Demba Aramata said the ground in which they defeated Ports Authority 2-0 last year have also played a part in his side’s defeat as his players are not use to playing in such grounds but he believe that his team will beat Gamtel in the return leg on the 2nd and 4th March.
