Former Female Soldier Denies False Information ChargesFriday, June 29, 2012
Yama Mendy yesterday made her appearance at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court. She is accused of writing to the President’s Office alleging that she was dismissed from the army by Lieutenant T. Ebrima Ngum of Gambia Armed Forces for refusing to have an affair with Ngum. The former female soldier however pleaded not guilty. The case resumes July 5, before Magistrate Alagbe.
