GFA League 1 Week 7 Matches Postponed

The Gambia Football Association Division one league which was  to resume yesterday will now resume on Saturday the 25th February due to The Gambia senior national team’s preparation ahead of their encounter against Algeria in Banjul come Wednesday the 29th this month.    
The 12 teams’ league will go back to actions on Saturday with joint league leaders Young Africans hosting SK/ United at the Serrekunda West mini stadium, while Steve Biko will play the Gambia Armed Forces, Gamtel who defeated Casa Sports 1-0 last Sunday will play Seedy Kinteh`s Bakau United at the Banjul KG5.
Other fixtures of week 8 will be as follows: Real de Banjul after collecting only six points in six matches will play Brikama United who were defeated 1-0 by Ouakam in the CAF champions league at the Banjul KG5 mini stadium on Sunday, while Hawks will host the Academic boys, Samger at the Father Cough mini stadium; Wallidan will also lock horns with The Gambia Ports Authority at the Serrekunda East mini Stadium.
After six fixtures in The Gambia premier league so far GPA bagged 12points on top, Young Africans are at the second position with 11 points followed by Gamtel with 10 points, while Samger and Bakau United sit third with 9 points each.
Hawks are currently at the bottom of the table.
