The Gambian premier league championship continues tomorrow  Saturday with Bakau United to clash with Samger at the SKW Mini Stadium, Gamtel will play Real at the Banjul KG5, while Wallidan will also lock hones with Steve Biko at the Serrekunda East mini Stadium both games will commence at 4.30 pm.
while on Sunday Arm Forces will play Africel at the Manjai football field, on the same day Y/Africans will clash with Interior at the Banjul KG5, Brikama united will also host GPA at the Box Bar Mini Stadium both games will kickoff at 4.30pm.
The kickoff was preceded by the Super Cup played on Saturday with GPA, the favorites, suffering a humiliating 2-0 defeat in the hands of Gamtel the telecommunication giants thanks to Ali Sowe and Nabi Darboe strikes at the Banjul mini stadium, formerly KG5.
Meanwhile, the much talked about Gambia premier league kicked-off on Sunday with three matches played and three goals scored so far.
Brikama United failed to capitalise on the home advantage to secure a win as they were held to a goalless draw by Steve Biko on Sunday in front of their teeming home fans.
In a similar development, the capital boys, Real de Banjul’s early one goal lead against Samger was levelled. Their nail-biting encounter on the newly built turf ended in a one-all draw.
In Serrekunda East, however, Amadou Baldeh’s 66th minute strike was enough to earn a celebrated victory for Bakau United over Wallidan, the one-time untouchables.
Meanwhile on Wednesday at the Manjai Father Gough Mini Stadium the defending champions make remarkable comeback after their defeat in the hands Gamtel in the Super with one nil win over Africel to join Bakau United on top of the table in week one in the other game on Wednesday Gamtel draw with Interior 0-0 at the East football Field.
