Gunjur Elders Hail Youths

The elders who were speaking on Tuesday during the Koriteh prayer commended the youths for the good work they did by cleaning up the pray ground.

‘’We indeed applauded you the younger ones for a job well done,’’ said the elders.

According to them, the development of any community to a large extent rests on the shoulders of the young people, urging them to continue with such good work for the village. 

Meanwhile, in his sermon Imam Alhagie Dembo Touray told worshippers to be God fearing.   

A renowned Islamic scholar Alhagie Ismaila Manjang stated that Islam is a religion of truth and peace calling on the people to unite as one at all times.

Scholar Manjang also took the opportunity to thank the Allah for His blessing and mercy on the Muslim community during the just concluded Holy month of Ramadan.
