Jean Joof: ‘Physic Wins Samger’

Friday, July 01, 2011
The head coach of Samger Jean Joof attributed his team’s two-nil defeat to opponent Armed Forces’ physical strength.
The two teams rubbed shoulders on Wednesday at the Serrekunda East in the ongoing GFA league one.
“Our attacks did not pay well due to the strength of the Armed Forces players,” coach Joof said. “We did well but physic was our problem during the game.”
“They are very good in terms of physical football, which win them all the areal balls, they also put pressure on our defenders, send long balls and that’s how we lost the game,” said Joof.
Joof then said they were unlucky this time around, because they were hoping for a win but not a defeat. He also decried injuries that most of his players have suffered this season, before saying its football you can’t determine how it will happen.
