Kayel Team’s captain Saikou Jobe and his brother Buba Jobe both scored twice in the first and second half to inspire Kayel a remarkable victory over their neighbors Pakau Saloum in a trailing encounter played at the Alagie Gabi Sosseh’s football ground in Kerr Mama in the late Badu Jasseh sponsored tournament.
The impressive midfielder Saikou Jobe took control of the midfield before sending his team in front in the ten minutes of the first period, through a free kick, before blasting home a 40 yard shot into the opponents’ net which made it two before half time.
Though, Pakau have some chances, but Kayel were too strong for them to handle as they defended their 2-0 to the end of the first half.
Kayel started from where they left, as they continued to make influence in the early minutes of the second half, and again it was their team captain Saikou Jobe who put his brother Buba Jobe through for the third goal.
Pakau later responded to pull two goals back before Kayel’s junior Jobe rapped the scores up in the 85 minutes of the game, ensuring a win for his side and a place to the semi final.
Kayel may face the same opponent in the semi finals as group leaders while Pakau will occupied forth spot, Kerr Mama sit on second while Pakau Njogu are on third position.
