The Federation Supervisor, at KairaaSuu Federation, a Child-Fund affiliated Community Base Organization (CBO), has said that the Federation was created to empower community-based participation at the grass roots.

Mr Lang Dibba was speaking during a recent dialogue with The Daily News at his office. He said the name’’ KairaaSuu’’ a Mandinka expression meaning peace is essential in any development, saying that without peace, there would be no significant growth in any nation.’’ The Federation has brought a lot of development to the door steps of the community within the federation as a CBO just to eradicate poverty, boost the morale of the people in all aspects of development and also to promote child as well as youth participation.’’

The development of any country, according to him, entirely lies in the hands of youth and women, noting that this is the reason why they attached a lot of emphasis towards empowering them

On the importance of their recent donation of over D172, 000 worth of materials to five womens’ groups, MrDibba said,  “this is a clear manifestation that they are out to promote grass roots participation, as well as to contribute in the socio-economic growth of the country and also to eradicate poverty rate.”
