Kombo Central District Chief Warns Against Unrest

The district head of Kombo Central, Dembo Kelleng Bojang has warned the people of his area to promote peace and desist from conducts that can jeopardise the peace in his chiefdom and the country at large.

‘’We should rather see each other as one family and work together towards the development of the region,’’ Chief Bojang told the Muslim congregation on Tuesday at the Brikama praying ground in his usual Koriteh message.

He said, The Gambia is blessed with good leadership that cares for peace as well as the socio-economic well-being of all citizens.

The Kombo central chief went on to implore on his people to adopt good manners at all times, urging in particular parents to monitor the activities of their children. He also called on youths to engage  in meaningful  activities and to respect their elders.

As the intermediary between central government and his people, chief Bojang called on his people to be regular in paying their taxes to avoid any inconvenience.
