The Kombo Central District Youth Committee will Friday hold its forthcoming District Youth Congress and operational arms of regional youth committee that are directly under the purview of the National Youth Council are urged to attend at the Conference Hall of the office of the Governor West Coast Region at 9am prompt.
The congress according to the Secretary General Dembo Abubakarr Kambi should have  taken place since 2008 but due to unforeseen circumstances it was not possible. This congress will bring together young people from all the villages in Kombo Central and registered youth organisations to elect the new executive that will be mandated to run the affairs and activities and to also oversee the operations of the youth groups within Kombo Central on behalf of the regional youth committee.
Kambi added that the congress is expected to take place in a peaceful environment through a democratic process where young people exercise their rights in electing the people they trust to lead them for the coming two years.
He further noted that the outgoing executive was elected into office in 2006 before NAYCONF. “I am appealing on all delegates to attend and on time,” he said.
