Kwinella Nursery School Receives Boost for Education

The Head Chief of Kiang Central District in the Lower River Region has said that relevant and quality education is the fluid that lubricates the mechanism of any socio economic development of any country, noting that no form of empowerment can be achieved without the required knowledge and skills.
Seyfor Demba Sanyang makes these remarks during a presentation ceremony of assorted learning materials and cash to Kwinella Nursery School, recently. This philanthropist gesture towards this community based school was rendered by a sister school in the Federal Republic of Germany called Micheleu School through Michel Petra of a charitable group in that country named TSV Markzeuln.
A laptop and a cash of one thousand Euros are among a set of learning materials and money that would no doubt salvage the dire need for educational materials and equipments were handed over to the school authorities. In receiving the gesture, Seyfo Demba Sanyang thanked the donors for their heartfelt motivation and further disclosed that it will go a long way in the dispensation of some of the constraints this educational institution for young children is lacking.
He therefore use this occasion and called on other friends, organizations, philanthropists and international bodies to help them elevate the school to a level to commensurate with conducive learning environment. As a tradition, he promised that the donated items and cash would be put into maximum good use whilst he equally enjoined the school to jealously protect the materials and wisely utilize the money as it is meant for.
In his remarks, the Headmaster of the school Fabakary Sanneh reiterated their stance on good management, pointing out that this is the second of its kind that TSV Markzeuln come to aid Kwinella Nursery School. The Dell laptop, Master Sanneh revealed, would help them to establish a comprehensive data for the school by storing all necessary information pertaining to the day to day running affairs of the school, at the same time it would provide internet and other communication services that are not available within the catchment area.
The cash donated would help to subsidize the daily school feeding programme in the school more specially for very young school children at tender ages from 3 to 7 years, Master Sanneh posited. He said it is almost impossible to keep that tender age pupils in school for long hours without food and water. Adding on, the Kiang Central district councilor said they would provide uniforms for the pupils and pay allowance for the under paid voluntary staff.
He therefore joined the District Chief in calling on others institutions and organizations to emulate the honorable sample of TSV Markzeuln. Stressing that the donated items would be put into good use, Master Sanneh called on his local community to embrace and take ownership of the schooling of their children by helping them at home so that these young future leaders go through their education at this very early stage. Now is the time, he said pointing that it’s eminent and obligatory for the parents to help in the molding of our future generations.
Giving the vote of thanks on behalf of the pupils, teachers, parents and the entire community of Kwinella in particular and Kiang Central in general, Saifo Nakoto Sanyang thanked the donors for their benevolent gesture.
