Aman is currently recovering at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Banjul after he was hit by President Yahya Jammeh’s convoy.

Alieu Badara Samba who is said to be stable, sustained serious injuries which include triple fractures on the left leg, two broken arms and wounds to the head.

Samba was said to have been hit by a vehicle in the presidential convoy around OJ Junction in Serrekunda.

The Jeep was reportedly heading to the airport to receive the Gambian leader, who was returning from the just-concluded African Union Summit in Addis-Abba, Ethiopia.

The Office of the President is yet to comment on the accident, but a family source told JollofNews that HalifaSallah of the opposition People’s Democratic Organisation for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS) on Wednesday visited the victim in hospital.
