Alieu Darboe, a Gambian international player who plies his football trade in Le Mans, France has blasted Lamin Sarr, the head coach of the Gambia U-20 for not taking him to the just concluded 2011 Orange CAF championship in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Speaking to The Daily News Sports last night Darboe said Gambian football is heading backward because of the biasness and corruption, which according to him is exhibited by Lamin Sarr, whom he referred to as a mere school coach.
Darboe attributed The Gambia’s failure in South Africa to poor selection made by Lamin Sarr.
“It’s not possible to win without players like Buba Jallow alias Meles, Emanuel Gomez, Waterman [Omar Jassey], Dawda Ceesay and myself, who are the most experience among all in the team,” he said.
“Sarr did not drop me due to my performance, but he did it because he doesn’t like me,” he added.
Darboe who joined French First Division side, Le Mans FC in 2009 was left frustrated after been dropped alongside others by Coach Sarr few days before their trip to South Africa said,  he will never show-up again when needed adding that he is fed up with Gambian Football.
Darboe had previously featured for The Gambia in U 17 level against Holland, Colombia, Iran among others and against Sierra Leone in U- 20 level under the leadership of Lamin Sarr. But he finally call it a quit, saying no to Gambia football again.
