“In 1998 Gambian football has been under rising, we were nowhere in the world of football by then but we made a 10 years policy that’s where the senior and the youth teams where developed. From 2010 the ministry took over the funding of the national teams up to date,” he said.
The secretary general went on to say it was an insult to them if a particular media house  said they are not efficient after all what  they have done in the past years.
“A  tax force was set by the ministry of youth  and sports to look into  the management of  the national teams, with the current relationship with the tax force is good but there are some misunderstanding in different areas,” he said
“Much has been said about the GFA, related to the poor performance of the national team in the AFCON qualifiers in the past and recent days.  Even the public and the football fans are saying more in rumor about the management football governing body of The Gambia,” he said.
The technical director of the GFA Kebba Ceesay also spoke about development in   grassroots football in the country. He said the technical committee was set up to look at the grassroots football level.
