As part of the 47th independence celebration, schools across all the regions of The Gambia on Saturday gathered at the independence stadium for the inter schools athletics competition.
The competition is held annually during the Independence Day celebration brought together students from different regions show case their talents.
 Region two were the champions of this year’s competition pulling 309 points, the highest points so far in the history of the event.
Region three of North Bank Region bagged second position with 273 points follows by region six in third positions scoring 235 points.
Region five came out fourth scoring 196 points in the process, and surprisingly region one could only score 189 points and region four sit at the bottom of the table with 186 points just three points behind region one.
