If you ascribe to yourself a position, knowledge, wealth, influence and power you do not posses you become drunken with pride. You would not be able to assess your behavior and you would be acting falsely by a degree of knowledge and influence you do not possess.
If as it is claimed that female circumcision ( your F.G.M ) is not anywhere to be seen in the Holy Quran, where then is its practice forbidden by the Quran and the Sunna of the Holy Prophet?
At this juncture, let it be well ascertained that female circumcision (F.C) is a national issue in The Gambia and as well as an Islamic matter. For over 95percent of the entire population of all tribes and ethnics are devoutly practicing it as a requirement of Islam for a good Muslim and believer just as the Quranic injunction for male circumcision is.
Why not male mutilation? And would any decent imam or Muslim condemn it for any amount of dollars one may be paid as unislamic. Yet it is the same as female circumcision. But it is not seen as mutilation or harmful practice because the boys are not equal human beings as girls. Why?
Where then are the so-called human right activists who blind themselves to the body harm of boys as human rights. Female circumcision is a sensitive issue not just in The Gambia but in all countries across the African continent and there is no country yet where its practice has been abolished or abandoned as genital mutilation or harmful practice of violation of women so-called health.
Female circumcision is a national concern. If you touch and talk about it, you would be equally touched and talked about and criticized more fiercely than you would imagine as no one is untouchable in a democracy. And in this vein, let it be strongly made to foreigners of whatever is their status diplomat, representatives of UN, Institutions, N.G.O`s and organizations that it is not their mission to interfere with our cultural norms and religious faith. They may be manipulated to do so, but only to sentence themselves to the consequences of their actions.
For no one must try the patience of Gambians to the end. It is an insult to tell them that their doings are uncultured   and unfaithful. Gambians are not atheists who have legalized Lesbians and Homosexual behavior like dogs as human rights.
If same sex marriage, homosexual and lesbian practices are legalized and welcome be self made so called human rights instead of human activist why not this venerable and folklore practices as Muslims are hailed all over the world.
Therefore to condemn female circumcision which has passed the test of great Muslim leaders of exemplary learning with inordinate piety and faith since the dawn of ISLAM, like Sheik Omar Futieu, Karang Mbemba  Suware, Seregn Bamba and Kang Kalifa Gassama and others of recent times as a practice not found in the Holy Quran is ignoramosity.
Whether F.C. is not an injunction of the Holy Quran, what matters by the faithful Muslims is that sanctioned by the Holy Prophet (S.A.S).
What then is actually wrong with female circumcision to make it unislamic and sinful.
The answer is simply that it stops Gambian women to be sexual maniac to become prostitute and lesbians. And this why it is said to be harmful crime. Every lie is being fabricated for it to be abandoned. Such as antenatal problems, the death of the girl child and so on. But why not mention its goodness as that of the male circumcision.
Like male circumcision, female circumcision is the removal of the part of the organ in which dirt is stored. This is why Gambians are hardly infected with A.I.D.S and thus the W.H.O has proclaimed it as best weapon against aids.
It would be absolute mockery of oneself to hold that one could change the indomitable immemorial conception of female circumcision in our life time indeed in The Gambia.
A few teachers and military personnel who sanctioned F.G.M where seen as exhibit of its mockery as they are said to represent no proportion of views of Gambians on female circumcision to effect any change.
The zero tolerance call for so-call FGM is simply declaration of satanic immorality of acts geared towards anti female circumcision.
The faithful believers and the cultural Gambian men have vowed not to marry a Solimma Musso and that the circumcision of their daughters and sons would go on forever on any account what so-ever. Dr Zenab has failed in Egypt miserably and so also The Gmbia’s Dr Adja too would fail dismally.
The call by the Supreme Islamic Council and Imam Abdoulie Fatty that female circumcision is mandatory for Muslim women has been unanimously accepted. And no change.
