Following his arrest and sub-sequent charged with criminal defamation, journalist Momodou S. Jallow of The Daily News was on Monday 24th January 2012 arraigned before a magistrate in the provincial town of Bansang.
His case however, did not proceed as the court was busy with other matters said our source.   Momodou was asked to come back to   court come the 6th February 2012.
It could be recalled that Modou S .Jallow was first arrested on the 6th January 2012 at Brikamaba and moved to Bansang police station where he was thrown behind bars for five hours following a story he authored captioned ‘Presidential Hajj Package Scandal, Chief Baldeh Allegedly Bribes Lover.’
