WCR People Thank President Jammeh

The people of the West Coast Region, through their governor, expressed gratitude to the Gambian leader, His-Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh for donating sugar to Muslims in the region.

Alhagie  Lamin Sanneh, the Governor of the West Coast Region, thanked the Gambian leader for the humanitarian gesture, and described him as a real Muslim who cares and shares anything he has with the people, in accordance with the teachings of Islam. Governor Sanneh also urged the chiefs to distribute the sugar accordingly at their district level.

He finally prayed for the president’s good health and long life while calling on Imams and Muslims in the region to continue to pray for President Jammeh and the country in general.

He further assured the  people’s continued support to the Gambian leader and the APRC in maintaining peace and stability, and accelerating more development projects.

For his part, the Paramount Chief of The Gambia, Demba Sanyang, stated that   the traditional Ramadan gift continues to support the poor and the needy during the holy month.
