WCR Youth Launches 2012 NAYCONF Promotion

The West Coast Region Youth Committee, in collaboration with other stakeholders, recently launched the 2012 National Youth Conference and Festival promotion (NAYCONF) at the Sanyang youth center.
Speaking to the Youth Platform, Abubacarr Dembo Kambi, the Regional Youth Chairperson of WCR said   the launch is to pave way for the 2012 event, to be hosted by Central River Region (CRR).  
Kambi further noted that the event is for young people in the country to come together, as agents of change, under one umbrella, to discuss issues affecting them.  
The event, according to him, also seeks to bring young people and the relevant authorities together to map out the way forward for the development of the young in the country, since they will eventually take on the role of leadership in the country.  
Kambi also thanked all those who, in one way or the other, contributed for the successful launching of the event.
 He revealed that a fund raising event, with the famous Gambian Kora star Jaliba Kuyateh will take place on May 17th 2012.
