Youth Empowerment Forum Ends In Sibanor

Binkanbe child and youth development association on Sunday 25th  March    concluded a three-day children and youth empowerment forum at Sibanor,  Foni Bintang district, West Coast Region.
The forum which is the 2nd edition attracted over 120 young people drawn from Foni Bintang, Kansala and Berefet, districts with the theme: “Young People in Decision Making.”
The three day forum was funded by Ding Ding Bantaba Federation.
 
Speaking at the forum, Binkanbe, chairperson, Sarjo Saho said Binkanbe child and youth development association was formed by the young people of Foni Bintang, Kansala and Berefet with the aims of fostering unity among young people in the three districts.  
Hon. Sheriff Aba Sanyang highlighted the significant of the theme noting that young people involvement in decision making will help them feel more associated with their communities and promotes ownership.  
He commended the Ding Ding Bantaba federation for the initiative, noting that the forum will give the young people the opportunity to participate in decisions making that affect their lives.  
  Ding Ding Bantaba Federation programme development Officer Edi Bah spoke on the importance his   federation attached to child and youth development.
 “We have been supporting young people of this area to develop themselves in various field of life,” he said.  
Sankung Colley,  Ding Ding Bantaba Child and Youth Officer highlighted the numerous interventions taken by the federation.  
The West Coast regional youth Chairman Dembo Kambi stated that the empowerment of youth is of paramount in any nation building.
