Samba Bah Dubs Saikou Jobe as Best Player

Late Badou Jasseh
Friday, December 02, 2011
Saikou Jobe, the young captain of Kayel is making a name for himself in the ongoing late Badu Jasseh tournament, wining the hearts of many football fans in Upper Niumi with his undisputed display as a central midfield player is dubbed as the best player in the history of Kayel village by a fan Samba Bah.
“I really love Saikou Jobe, he plays like Steven Gerard of England and Liverpool, he is the player driving Kayel without any doubt and one will wonder if he happens to miss a game how will Kayel manage to go out of that game,” Samba told The Daily News Sports after watching the young midfielder score twice in his side’s 4-2 win against Pakau Saloum.
“Saikou Jobe, if helped will one day play for The Gambia National team and for me there is a brighter future for him, but the only thing that worries me is that the Gambian top level coaches are not good at scouting provincial players, but Saikou with the performance he showed in the tournament, he deserved a better spot in Gambian football,” said Bah.
Saikou Jobe was incredible throughout the 90 minutes scoring twice before setting his brother for the third and fourth goals, and with no doubt he is so far the most promising player in the late Badu Jasseh tournament according to keen followers of the tournament after scoring four goals in six games.
